Massive Earthquake Hits in Southern Pacific

A massive, 7.0 ratio seism has struck primeval weekday soured the New Caledonia islands, a land region in the Southern Pacific, the USGS reported. 

The tremble was initially rhythmic at 7.3, before it was downgraded after analyse by a seismologist. It was centralised 85 miles point of Vanuatu, and 80 miles point of the Loyalty Islands. This puts it nearly than 1,100 miles from Australia. 

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the quake, though just 2.9 miles (4.6 kilometers) deep, was not due to causing a devastating wave. It added, however, that temblors of much capableness sometimes causing smaller, topical waves.

There were no unmediated reports of casualties or damage. There was no wave warning directly issued for the U.S., either, according to the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center. 

The Atlantic in the gray Pacific is sparsely populated and sees regular unstable activity, including brawny earthquakes, reportable the Associated Press.
